We Are…
Friday, June 5, 2020 was the day on which seven Phoenixville Area School District students organized a peaceful protest march commencing at Bridge & Main Streets and culminating in a rally at Reeves Park. The march was a multi-racial and multi-cultural outpouring of support and affirmation that Black Lives Matter.
“Blackcellence” was chosen by the students to be the name that describes their ongoing work to change the world, one heart at a time. The Phoenixville community responded with dozens of expressions of solidarity. These Statement of Solidarity can be viewed here.
